It is an invitation to you “to embrace nature and while away a Saturday afternoon enjoying a FREE vibrant dance performance, as it wends its way through your favorite park. The Indoni dancers with 85 of their own young dancers-in-training look forward to welcoming you to these summer celebrations, in a beautiful park in the City of Cape Town.” The performances are taking place in parks on Saturday afternoons, over three weekends in the Cape Town Summer 2021.  The first performance is on Saturday – November 27 – in Nantes Park – at 2pm. On December 4, Indoni will be at the Green Point Park and the third performance is on December 11 in the beautiful De Waal Park. All the performances are at 2pm. No booking is required. People are asked to mask up and observes social distancing and Covid protocols. Dancing with Nature is about sharing a day with friends and family, says its artistic director, Sbonakaliso Ndaba: “The Indoni dancers are bringing arts back to the people, with free performances that shine a light on the beauty of our parks.” Check out the featured image on this post – in De Waal Park – and you will get a glimpse of how Indoni is using park spaces and activating them through dance. Ndaba: “Trust in the Giant stilt walker as he leads you along the paths from one scene to the next… Share in the emotions of the scene being played out before you…Join in the dancing of familiar moves and then sing along to some of your favorite old ballads!.”
