Night at the Circus – presented by Cape Town’s internationally award winning circus company, Zip Zap Circus

Night at the Circus is Zip Zap’s winter virtual streaming platform, during Covid-19. There will be three shows which will go out on the streaming platform, operated by Quicket. The Caretaker is first on the bill, on June 6. Direction and choreography is by Adele Blank of Free Flight Dace Company. This recording was filmed, live in August 2009 at the Zip Zap Dome, on the Foreshore in Cape Town. The dome is in the Artscape Theatre precinct. Two more Zip Zap shows will stream in July and August. Date of live stream show: June 6 at 4pm

Show streaming dates: The film recording of the show, goes out live on Saturday June 6 at 4pm. You can stop, pause, rewind, no problem. The link will be available for watching until 10pm on Saturday June 6. After 10pm, it will no longer be available

Tickets: R50. Zip Zap requests that you buy the number of tickets of people who will be watching. The household can watch on one ticket but it would be appreciated if the buyer considers purchasing a ticket per viewer.

Duration of show: One hour and 17 minutes. No interval but you can press pause, stop, resume – using your ticket link

How it works: After purchasing your ticket, you will receive an e-mail with a link, which grants access to the show. Zip Zap encourages people to purchase multiple tickets. Yes, on one link, a family may watch a show but if you are able, please purchase the amount of tickets of those watching in the household. The link cannot be shared and is connected to your username and password for your Quicket account.

Internet speed advisory: If you have high speed internet, you should be fine. If necessary, use your smart phone as a hot spot and connect from there. It is the viewer’s responsibility to check on internet. Check your bandwidth. If your internet crashes – it can happen – take a screen shot. You may request for the link to be sent to you so you can watch a recording of the show. Please e-mail events@zip-zap.co.za, attach receipt and provide details of the e-mail linked to the ticket.

Number of tickets on offer: There is currently a limit to 1000 tickets. However, Zip Zap can release more tickets when this this number is reached.
