Cirkel – at FynArts Gallery in Hermanus, explores the unseen forces that connect us all
Cirkel at FynArts Gallery in Hermanus features three artists who are working with diverse materials: self-drying natural stone clay, botanical ink, eco-printing, and beach-found plastics. The artist are: Jo Roets, Nastasha Sale and Blue de Gersigny. Using the circle as a symbol of unity, regeneration, and connection, each artist invites you to reflect on the delicate balance of creation and decay and to celebrate the art of connection and transformation.
This exhibition will run until January 5, 2025 at the FynArts Gallery, The Courtyard, 2 Harbour Road, Hermanus. No entrance fee.
Jo Roets predominantly works with self-drying natural stone clay, molding raw material into organic forms. Capturing and embodying the grounding energy of the earth and its potential for both structure and fragility.
Nastasha Sale, a multi-disciplinary artist, explores how creating can mirror the continuous cycle of thought and experiences. Using natural elements and botanical printing, she forges a direct connection to nature’s cycles of growth, decay, and renewal, each imprint serving as a delicate echo of the world’s ongoing rhythms.
Blue de Gersigny, a beach plastic artivist, uses her artistic voice as a means for social change. Her use of beach-found plastic challenges us to reimagine discarded materials, transforming waste into vibrant forms that embody rebirth and resilience.
