Exciting news is that American R&B star, Karyn White will be live on stage in South Africa, two shows only, Cape Town (August 26) and Pretoria (August 28). She is the first major international soul and R&B artist, to perform live in South Africa post Covid-19. She has previously performed in South Africa and is thrilled to be back, with this tour. Her concerts in SA, come after her recent win at the 7th Black Music Honors in Atlanta on June 25, 2022, during Black Music Month. The awards celebrate trailblazing music legends. That song made international waves, selling over a million units, being certified Gold and named the Billboard R&B Song of the Year in 1989. She IS a super woman. She’s Karyn White. 

Established in 2011, Karyn opened the doors with Karyn White Enterprises Inc. (KWE) a dynamic multi-platform media company offering diverse and uplifting entertainment across the broad media landscapes of music, television, and film. White released her long-awaited album “Carpe Diem” on her own label and distributed through Light Year/EMI. The album featured the singles “Sista, Sista” and “Unbreakable,” both of which produced music videos.

In 2017, White landed a recurring role on the BET Centric television series Beauty and the Baller as trophy wife Kym Banks. She also returned with new music and her first feature film role, in Gale and the Storm directed by Derrick Muhammad. The soundtrack for the film was released on September 4 and included her single “Blind Man Walking”. The film made its premiere on October 12, 2017.She earned a 2017 UB Honours nomination for the Gale and the Storm soundtrack in the “Best Independent R&B Album Release” category.
