Great news for art enthusiasts is that The Investec Cape Town Art Fair [#ICTAF] -Africa’s largest contemporary art fair, is returning to its physical home, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, from Friday February 18 to Sunday February 20, 2022. The 2021 #ICTAF was presented online as a digital event, because of the pandemic. For the 2022 edition #ICTAF2022, visitors will need to show POV [Proof of Vaccine] or a recent negative PCR test. Mask must be worn at all times and social distancing will be in place. The 2022 edition of [#ICTAF] marks it’s first-ever incarnation as a hybrid fair. The fair will showcase works by over three hundred artists represented by more than fifty nationalities and this work will be in view at the convention centre. That is first prize to be able to attend and walk into the beautifully appointed exhibition spaces and to mingle with artists, curators and visitors. However, building on the success of the virtual Fair in 2021, the organisers are hosting digital access, in tandem with the physical in-person event. The digital edition does not include walkabouts, talks. There is no VIP Vernissage on the digital platform. However, the digital platform provides a wonderful opportunity browse the work on show and to also purchase. Details as to how to access the digital platform, scroll down to box with ticket details.
