Gember Distillery in Muizenberg – the distillers of internationally gold award winning Two Gingers Gin- is presenting Cape Cheers – a world record-breaking gin fest- at its distillery in Muizenberg. The fest is on April 6, 2024, from 10am until sunset and will feature live music and DJ Andre as MC.  Auditors will be there to inventory the attempt to break the Guinness World Record™ for ‘the most people drinking gin in one place’. Two Gingers Gin at Cape Cheers- world record-breaking gin fest hosted at the Gember Distillery in Muizenberg

Get ready to make history with Two Gingers Gin at Cape Cheers, a world record-breaking gin fest hosted at the Gember Distillery in Muizenberg on April 6, 2024. Simon Cranswick and Wynand de Vries, the founders of Two Gingers, invite gin enthusiasts, party people, and music lovers to join them for a day of fun, food, and entertainment, with the chance to break a Guinness World Record™ for ‘the most people drinking gin in one place’. As the juniper cherry on top of their numerous other gold awards, this achievement will be a testament to their craft.

The gates will open at 10h00 am for what is set to be a gathering of note and while the focus is on claiming the world record, attendees can also look forward to a great line-up of local talent, featuring feel-good rock band Sunset Sweat Shop along with Natalie Rae, Ambience and Sons of Selassie.  There will be food trucks and bars, and resident DJ and MC, DJ Andre will keep you grooving until the sun goes down.

Ticket prices are set at R280 per person, available through WEBTICKETS. Each attendee will receive four mini bottles of Two Gingers Gin for the official Guinness World Record™ tasting, overseen by an international judge and certified taster.

About TWO GINGERS

Two Gingers Gins, produced by Gember Distillery in Muizenberg, have taken the craft gin world by storm.  In under a year they launched four distinctive gins and have already won Gold Awards at the 2022/2023 Merit Wine and Spirit Challenge and gold and double-gold at the SA Craft Gin Awards.

In 2023 they entered 2 international competitions, The Gin Guide, the world’s largest independent gin competition, where they won Best in Africa 2023, World’s Best Contemporary Gin 2023 and were runners up in Global new Distillery of the year.  They also entered the Aurora Taste Challenge and each of their 4 gins won Gold.
