Interview: Cindy Jumat talks about her journey and her work facilitating faith and healing

How does one nurture faith and healing? Cindy Jumat has transcended numerous challenges and has made it her life’s work to facilitate faith and healing through her work. TheCapeRobyn: Can you tell us about your journey of faith and healing?

Cindy Jumat: I grew up in Mitchells Plain, facing various challenges that shaped my resilience. I battled mental health struggles alongside spiritual warfare. My turning point came through a powerful encounter with Jesus while working as an au pair and nanny in the USA. In 2018, I returned to South Africa and launched IVOW International Ministries as a platform to help others heal, overcome, and step into their God-given purpose.

TCR: What does IVOW stands for?

CJ: IVOW is rooted in a personal vow I made to God—to live fully for Him. It stands for: “I Vow to Overcome & Withstand”, symbolizing faith, resilience, and transformation. This ministry exists to help people break free from emotional, spiritual, and generational strongholds, equipping them to walk in their divine purpose.

Through virtual and in-person events, IVOW continues to impact lives across nations, empowering people to overcome adversity and stand firm in their faith.

TCR: Can you tell us about your book: With Love to My Future Husband

CJ: With Love to My Future Husband is a deeply personal book filled with prayers, letters, and reflections about preparing for a Godly marriage. It’s an encouragement for those in waiting, teaching them to trust God’s timing, heal from past wounds, and step into the season of marriage with a strong foundation in faith. It is more than just a book; it is a prayer movement, calling individuals to seek God’s best for their relationships and marriages.

TCR: How do you go about coaching people to see the value in ‘Godly Marriages’?

CJ: Many people enter relationships with unhealed wounds, unresolved trauma, and worldly perspectives on love and marriage. Through IVOW coaching, workshops, and boot camps, I guide individuals in:

• Healing from past emotional wounds
• Breaking generational cycles of unhealthy relationships
• Understanding biblical principles of marriage
• Developing Christ-centered relationships
• Preparing for marriage with wisdom, prayer, and intentionality

CJ: The From Mummy to Bride series is a reflection of my personal transformation. I once felt like an Egyptian mummy—wrapped in emotional baggage, trauma, and the weight of my past. This series tells the story of breaking free from the tomb of pain and stepping into my identity as a restored bride in Christ.

TCR: What can people expect from Step Into Revival 2025 – A 31-Day Global LIVE Revival?

CJ: Step Into Revival 2025 is a global revival movement aimed at igniting faith, healing, and spiritual renewal. Daily LIVE prayer, worship, and teachings will equip people worldwide. On April 4 and 5, we gather in person to:

• Encounter God’s presence
• Experience healing and deliverance
• Walk in boldness and purpose

TCR: Your thoughts on how we can engage with positivity and healing in this ruptured world?

CJ: We are living in a time when God is calling His people to rise, heal, and step boldly into their purpose. My mission is to equip individuals with practical tools for transformation—spiritually, emotionally, and financially. Whether through my books, coaching, or revival events, my heart is to see people set free and thriving in every area of life.
