It is the 10th anniversary of the Hermanus First Friday Art Walk (HFFA) and the 26 art galleries are celebrating with a “CHAIR”lebration from Friday October 7, 2022 – Sunday October 9, 2002. Artists from the 26 HFFA galleries have created design for all kinds of chairs. The process of converting a plain very used chair into an inspiring work of art was their challenge. Sitting down will never be the same. All chairs are up for auction until Sunday, October 9, 2022, and all proceeds will be donated to local charities. Follow the orange! Info as supplied:

On Saturday, October 8, sit or stand with author and illustrator of more than 30 children’s books, Niki Daly. Niki will be at the gallery between 10:00 – 14:00 doing fun creative demonstrations and signing books. Don’t miss this solo exhibition of sketches, water colours and in-preparation published and unpublished work by South Africa’s Children’s Picture Book Laureate 2020.
Niki’s much-loved books have received many awards in South Africa and overseas, including nominations for the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award, New York Times Best Book Award, and honours mentions by the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY).
