Lockdown regulations have been eased and theatres are opening in South Africa. It is exciting but the virus is still very much with us and we need to proceed with extreme caution – especially when we are in confined spaces of theatres. We are living WITH the pandemic and masks have been shown to be effective in providing considerable protection. There is no guarantee but masks are low-cost and make sense as we proceed in these strange days to get out and engage with each other and the arts. With the return to live performance, a friend of TheCapeRobyn decided that it was time to make a mask with TheCapeRobyn logo. TheCapeRobyn mask – with an embroidered logo (not printed) had its first outing on Heritage Day 2020 at Long Beach, Kommetjie, Cape Town. See photo – surfer in background.
TheCapeRobyn masks are available in black or navy, with embroidered logo. The cost is R140 – includes VAT. Price valid at time of publication – September 24, 2020.
