Viennese born Harald Sitta who lives in Johannesburg, has been bringing opera to Joburg, through his company, SITTOPERA™- which facilitates opera and classic music events- at the heritage Rand Club in Johannesburg. Sitta is a committed patron of the arts. An attorney by profession, he graduated Dr iuris from University of Vienna ans now does opera events as a passion project. During 2021, lockdown SITTOPERA™, presented seven opera soirees at The Rand Club. A fabulous programme has been announced for SITTOPERA™ Season 2022 – subject to the vagaries of the pandemic and lockdown strictures. All events are filmed and start promptly with no late arrivals. The 2022 season will run from February to December 2022- with a June/July winter break. The programme is subject to change –international travel restrictions and lockdown regulations. Sitta says that SITTOPERA™ will endeavour to make a plan and ensure that the show goes on. Good to know: if you book for five events or more in advance, you will receive a 15% discount on your tickets. On Saturday January 22, 2022, there will be a presentation of the SITTOPERA™ season 2022 programme in the Armory, at the Rand Club. There is no charge to attend. Bubbly and nibbles, will be served.

|About Harald Sitta – founder of SITTOPERA™|
Attorney and mediator
Harald Sitta is an attorney by profession- attorney emeritus ( Vienna Chamber). In Austria. He worked as an attorney in Vienna and was a registered mediator – General Civil Law (excluding Family Law), Commercial and Companies Law, Labour relation Law, Tax Law, Environment Protection Law, Law of EU and EG.
He worked with law firms mainly in Europe and presented lectures at seminars. He has wrote over 20 papers on a wide range of topics which appeared in law magazines between 1989 and 2005. In 2007, he immigrated to South Africa, and became a permanent resident a year later, in 2008. From 2010, he established, Harald Sitta CC– mediation, arbitration, legal and strategic advice. He is a registered Commissioner of Oaths in South Africa (Magistrates Court Randburg).
Jewellery and accessories business
Harald Sitta established Gepardissima Ornament Design CC – “exquisite design” of jewellery and ostrich leather ladies bags and accessories, with his wife, Jutta. In May 2016, Sitta became a contributing author to Rational Standard www.rationalstandard.com – an Internet magazine of “libertarian and conservative tendency.” Ongoing. He is also a columnist for www.kraut-zone.de , a German libertarian magazine. He wrote a paper, Migrationspakt– “UN compact on migration”, with J.K. Fischer Verlag, Germany. In September 2020, he publishing his book, Cross Haired, volume 1, “a polemic philosophy”, English and German versions, with Lesedi Publishers, Cape Town and New Network Communication NNC, Vienna. The Rand Club, Johannesburg
In November 2016, Sitta was elected as a member of The Rand Club in Johannesburg. A year later, in 2017, he became a member of its Membership Committee. In May 2018, he began managing opera events at the Rand Club: Fine Talents & Rising Stars platform. In 2019, he facilitated opera management for various corporations.
