Following on the success of its recent tour in South Africa (August 2022), of the Grammy Award winning Minnesota Orchestra Brass Quintet, Classical Movements is presenting and producing a tour of the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra Quintet. This month (September 2022), there are seven concerts in regions around South Africa,: Johannesburg, Pretoria, Potchefstroom, Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Bonteheuwel. A thrilling aspect of the SA 2022 Kennedy Center Quintet Tour is that for five of the seven concerts, Classical Concerts is also presenting South African ensembles and choirs. This is part of its commitment to support communities on their tour schedules across the globe. Classical Movements – a global entrepreneurial impresario platform – endeavours to make its concerts accessible in terms of ticket prices and is known for including free concerts in its tours. There is no charge to attend the concert on Thursday, September 22, 6pm, at the Church of the Resurrection in Bonteheuwel (Cape). About Classical Movements
Classical Movements has been presenting the annual Ihlombe! South African Choral Festival across the country, since 2009 and brought the Minnesota Orchestra, as the first professional US Orchestra to tour to Africa, on its ground-breaking tour to South Africa in 2018.
